NJROTC

Grenada School District’s robust NJROTC program recently opened eligibility to 8th grade students.

Joining the military education program, sponsored by the U.S. Navy, does not obligate you to join any branch of service upon graduation, though being in NJROTC will give you a head start on life.

Students will also enjoy opportunities to travel on field trips and compete in such traditional military activities as physical fitness and drill, as well as new technology skills including robotics, drones, and cybersecurity.

Chief Foreman, the program’s director, said the 8th grade enrollment enhances the program and offers new cadets an early start in the unit’s rigorous training and academic preparation.

Visit the NJROTC program’s district site to learn about all of the activities and opportunities offered, as well as apply to join the unit.
